Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau

In 1983, in the style of the voyageurs, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and Minister of Communications Francis Fox paddled a canoe across the Ottawa River to the Parc Laurier site. There, after being greeted by museum officials, the Prime Minister turned the first sod to mark the beginning of the construction phase of the new museum project. (51 seconds)

Computer-aided design equipment
