n the early '90s a task force of researchers was put together in Britain to undertake a programme of archival research into Frobisher's Arctic expeditions and the related historical context. That programme resulted in the studies published in this book. This paper describes the process of creating the task force, introduces its personnel, and identifies the principal sources of information that fuelled research.
